Gala set to impress

UFCW Canada activists, friends, and family members from across the country will be gathering in downtown Toronto in June for the 21st Annual UFCW Canada Gala, which promises to be another memorable night for the union and Leukemia and Lymphoma research.

The Gala provides the union with a fun-filled way to celebrate its remarkable fundraising efforts for Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC). To date, UFCW Canada members have contributed over $19 million to the fight to find a cure.

This year’s Gala will be hosted by Herbie Kuhn, the “court-side voice” of the Toronto Raptors, and will feature the spellbinding entertainment of renowned magician and illusionist Aaron Paterson, and longtime local favourite Ascension Groove, a five piece band known for its lively rhythms. Revellers at the Gala will also be treated to a Caribana demonstration by members of the award winning Louis Saldenah Mas-K Club band.

UFCW Canada activists attending the Gala are invited to bring their cheque books as the event will provide guests with exciting opportunities to make further donations.
