UFCW Canada Local 1518 and the Overwaitea Food Group are proudly supporting diversity by making a $10,000 contribution to the Fraser Valley Regional Library (FVRL) to help them purchase books for their World Languages Collection.

This contribution will benefit the families of the diverse people in B.C.'s communities by increasing FVRL’s collection of bilingual picture books for children. This contribution was made possible by the partnership of UFCW Local 1518 and the Overwaitea Food Group through their Joint Diversity and Training Trust Fund.

"This is a very good example of how the Joint Diversity and Training Fund is used to support the communities we live in," says Ivan Limpright, President of UFCW Canada Local 1518. "We want to continue to be involved in these kinds of initiatives, which provide resources to working families in British Columbia."
