Young Activists Launch Retail Report to Inspire Workers

Two young activists and retail veterans have recently launched Retail Report at www.rere.tv. The goal of the web hub for retail activists is to reach out, inform and encourage retail workers in Canada to fight for good jobs and better working conditions for all.

The web-based show and hangout is hosted by Pablo Godoy and Jazmine Mitchell. The two enthusiastic advocates discuss, debate, and host interviews on important issues faced by millions of retail and service workers across North America.

“The Retail Report sends a message that now is time for workers to demand that people come before profit”, says Pablo. "Corporate executives don't deserve 500 times the pay that everyone else gets because without their employees they wouldn't have a multi-billion dollar company to begin with. Retail workers should share in that success."

Retail Report aims to deliver up-to-date information with an honest, daring and insightful view into problems, experiences and excitement of the retail and service industries.

“Power begins with workers’ awareness”, says Retail Report co-host Jazmine. "We hope when people watch the show and are confronted with the stark realities of Canada’s working world, they will join the movement to make all Canadian jobs good jobs."

"We're here to encourage controversies, strong opinions and debates", adds Pablo. "It is only through discussion, awareness and thought that we can change the retail world."
