Toronto – August 5, 2014 – Continuing a longstanding tradition, UFCW Canada members, activists, and leaders marched and played Mas in this year’s Caribana Parade, a massive cultural celebration that takes place every year along Toronto’s waterfront.

On Saturday, August 2nd, Canada's leading union joined with more than a million revellers, visitors and spectators from around the world to participate in the lively Caribana Parade, which serves as the culmination of three weeks of Caribana festivities.

Since its inception in 1967, Toronto's Caribana event has become one of North America’s largestinternational festivals. And for nearly a decade, UFCW Canada has taken centre stage at the Caribana Parade with the multi-award winning Louis Saldenah Mas-K Club. The band’s chosen theme for this year's parade was River of Mirrors, and featured breathtaking costumes that were first previewed at the 2014 UFCW Canada Summer Splash.
