UFCW Canada leads the way on Labour Day

Toronto – September 2, 2014 – Canada's leading union was out in full force on Labour Day, as UFCW Canada activists and family members across the country joined other community members to celebrate the achievements of workers and the labour movement.

In Ontario, UFCW Canada activists led the way at Canada's largest Labour Day parades, in Toronto and Hamilton. In Western and Atlantic Canada, activists and family members marked the celebration at a number of community events, and Labour Day picnics. In Quebec, activists gather to honour and celebrate workers and the labour movement on May 1, International Workers Day.
