New webCampus courses for November

New webCampus courses for NovemberToronto – October 17, 2014 – UFCW Canada’s groundbreaking online education program, webCampus, is launching two new English-language courses for the month of November. The free online courses are being offered from October 27th to November 21st and are available to all UFCW Canada members and their families, as well as our community partners. The new courses are described as follows:

End of Life: Comfort, Care, and Planning

Society’s views on death and dying are changing because we are living longer. This course aims to make the unfamiliar territory of death slightly more comfortable for everyone involved. Many cultures and ethnicities have different traditions when it comes to death and dying, and our goal in this course is to share approaches that can be helpful during a difficult period in life.

Investigations

Investigating is another way of 'learning more' about something. The best investigators are aware of the many barriers that prevent one from learning about what is needed to make a fair and equitable decision. Some of these barriers come in the form of prejudice and others come from circumstances (who saw an event, what happened before the event occurred, etc). This workshop is designed to give union stewards the basic skills required to conduct an investigation with the goals of uncovering relevant information and arriving at a sound decision.

Registration for both courses is now open. To register, visit the webCampus website today.
