New webCampus course for MayToronto – April 18, 2015 – UFCW Canada's groundbreaking online education program, webCampus, is launching a new English-language course for the month of May.

The free online course is being offered from April 27 to May 29 and is available to all UFCW Canada members and their families, as well as our community partners. The new course is described as follows:

Handling Tough Issues at Work

UFCW stewards are also workers in a workplace. So, when challenges hit the workplace, a steward typically gets a double whammy.

Each steward is an extraordinary volunteer; their skills affect both the members and the company in resolving issues that affect rights, relationships and production.

In this course workers and stewards alike will expand on their skills in facing tough issues. In learning these skills, we hope those who make up the union, will be better to handle tough issues.

The following areas will be examined in effectively handling tough situations:

  • Seeing the Big Picture
  • Understanding the Role
  • Being Taken Seriously
  • Adapting to a New Situation

Registration for the webCampus "Handling Tough Issues at Work" course is now open. To register, visit the webCampus website today.
