Members at Toula Restaurant achieve first contract – UFCW 102

Toronto – July 18, 2015 – UFCW Canada Local 102 members working at Toula Restaurant in Toronto have achieved their first collective agreement.

Toula Restaurant is located on the top floor of Toronto's Westin Harbour Castle hotel and offers patrons a one-of-a-kind dining experience with a view overlooking Lake Ontario.

The new three-year agreement provides wage increases to members and scheduling improvements based on seniority. As well, workers will now have gratuities distributed evenly by shift and they will be paid out in a more timely manner. The new contract also ensures that members will be eligible for bereavement pay.

"I would like to thank the bargaining committee for their outstanding work throughout the negotiating process," says UFCW Local 102 President Dominic Musitano. "This contract is a great example of what can be accomplished through the collective bargaining process," Brother Musitano adds.
