Members at Exceldor Foods ratify new agreement – UFCW 175

Hanover, Ont. – July 25, 2015 – UFCW Canada Local 175 members at Exceldor Foods in Hanover, Ontario have achieved a new collective agreement. The Exceldor Foods members produce Butterball poultry products for grocery stores and restaurants across Canada.

The new seven-year agreement includes wage improvements, increases to the boot allowance, and increases to the tool allowance for members working in the maintenance and engineering departments.

Benefit improvements include increases to optical coverage in years four and seven of the contract, as well as improvements to chiropractic, massage therapy, homeopathic, and clinical psychiatric coverage in the fourth year of the agreement.

There are also language improvements in the areas of grievance, arbitration, and job posting procedures.

Members of the negotiating committee included Jeff Bietz, Ron Zippel, Carole Ford, Mike Banks, Alan Plante, and UFCW Canada Local 175 Union Representative Tim Deelstra.
