Red Deer, Alta. – July 15, 2016 – UFCW Canada Local 401 member-activists and staff recently met in Red Deer, Alberta for a day dedicated to strengthening member engagement and learning new ways to reach out to other UFCW Local 401 members.
Participants at the Member Engagement Focus Day discussed new ideas and initiatives that they can bring back to their workplaces in the upcoming months in order to build solidarity among the membership and have some fun while doing so.
Throughout the day, participants held productive conversations about education, communications, and community outreach, and discussed ways to improve the efficacy of these services for members. There were also exciting events discussed at the session, such as Lunch and Learns, barbecues, workplace campaigns, and member fun days.
The event was part of Local 401’s efforts to reach out to members and the community in order to promote long-term member involvement, education, and engagement.
