UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship winner: Madison Hoffmeyer, UFCW 1400

Saskatoon, Sask. – July 6, 2017 – Madison Hoffmeyer is one of eighteen UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship winners for 2016.

Madison is currently completing her second year of a Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Her mother is a proud UFCW Canada Local 1400 member at the Saskatoon Co-op Food Store (Attridge location) in Saskatoon.

Sister Hoffmeyerhad the following to say about winning a UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship:

“I am planning to do a four-year program in history or political studies, and then to go on to a Master’s degree, so I could be in school for quite some time. Thanks so much to UFCW Canada for this scholarship and for helping me towards achieving my educational goals.”

Every year UFCW Canada offers a total of 18 union scholarships worth $1,000 each to members, their spouses, and dependants for post-secondary education. The BDM Scholarship was created to honour past UFCW leaders William Beggs, Fred Dowling, and Romeo Mathieu.
