Tech and clerical workers at Subaru of London join the union – UFCW 102

London, Ont. – December 12, 2017 – Tech and clerical workers at Subaru of London are the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 102 after recently voting to join the union.

The group of 17 tech and clerical employees work as mechanics, detailers, service technicians, and administrative assistants for the London, Ontario-based car dealership. They joined the union to obtain better job security and respect and fairness at work.

“I would like to congratulate and welcome the new members at Subaru of London, who overcame great adversity in their campaign to join the union,” says Dominic Musitano, the President of UFCW Canada Local 102. “We look forward to representing the Subaru members at work, and we hope to begin negotiations with their employer as soon as possible,” he adds.

The Subaru of London employees join a number of other UFCW Canada members who work in the automotive industry, including workers at the Park Lane Chevrolet Cadillac in Sarnia, Ontario.
