New contract for members at Estérel Resort – UFCW 501Estérel, Que. – January 4, 2018 – UFCW Canada Local 501 members working at the Estérel Resort in the Laurentians region of Quebec have overwhelmingly ratified a new collective agreement.

The new contract provides wage increases of $1.00 to $1.75 per hour, depending on seniority, for the first year of the agreement. There will also be increases of 3 percent in 2018, 2019, and 2020, and a 4 percent wage increase in 2021. As well, employees will now be paid overtime if they work a sixth or seventh consecutive day in any week, regardless of the number of hours worked. And banquet and dining room wait staff will receive tip increases on group events.

In addition, the employer will contribute $0.18 per hour per worker to the UFCW Quebec Dental Plan, and will double its contribution to the Fonds de solidarité FTQ retirement fund.
