Members at specialty meat supplier achieve new agreement at Sysco – UFCW 1006A

Vaughan, Ont. – November 13, 2018 – UFCW Canada Local 1006A members at Sysco Fine Meats Toronto have ratified a new collective agreement.

Sysco Fine Meats Toronto is a specialty meat supplier and is a division of Sysco Canada. Some of the highlights of the four-year contract include:

• Wage increases
• Enhanced job protection for permanent employees
• Protection of healthcare, welfare and pension terms to ensure no reductions for term of agreement
• Improvements to overtime pay and vacation language
• Language covering victims of domestic violence/abuse

 “We are proud of the gains that our union negotiating committee achieved for our members at Sysco Fine Meats,” said UFCW Canada Local 1006A President Wayne Hanley.
