Bancroft, Ont. – January 8, 2019 – UFCW Canada Local 1006A members working at Grail Springs Retreat in Bancroft, Ontario have ratified their first union contract, winning big gains in wages, benefits, and more.
Grail Springs Retreat is a holistic health and wellness centre specializing in spa and healing therapies, yoga, meditation, and other services. Workers will also gain one floating holiday per year and enjoy a new group benefits package.
“The solidarity of the Grail Springs members in achieving a fair first agreement was truly inspiring,” says UFCW 1006A President Wayne Hanley. “Through great courage and determination, the members have improved their workplace,” he adds.
