Health care members at Reh-Fit win higher wages – UFCW 832

Winnipeg – June 19, 2019 – UFCW Canada Local 832 members working at the Reh-Fit Centre in Winnipeg have voted unanimously in favour of a new union contract that provides wage gains, increased RRSP contributions, and more.

During the life of the two-year deal, the health care members at Reh-Fit will see their wages rise by 3.75 percent. Other monetary increases include a hike in employer-paid RRSP contributions, and employees can now carry over their overtime.

Reh-Fit takes a unique approach in helping adults learn strategies to overcome life’s challenges and stay committed to a healthier, more active life. UFCW Local 832 represents over 50 members at the centre, who work as fitness professionals, physiotherapist consultations, nurses, and in building, member, and cafeteria/food services.
