Montreal – June 25, 2020 – Daphné Grignon is one of eighteen winners of the UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship. Currently enrolled in the Cognitive Neuroscience program at the Université de Montréal, Daphné is a proud UFCW Local 500 member who works at Maxi.
Sister Grignon had the following to say about winning a UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship:
“In the not-too-distant future, I would like to work as a speech therapist. In order to achieve this goal, I need to complete university. Receiving the UFCW Canada BDM Scholarship is an opportunity for me to focus fully on my studies so that I can excel at them without having to worry too much about my finances. This will allow me to have a positive and productive university experience. Thank you very much, UFCW!”
The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their families every year, totaling more than $300,000 in support.
