UFCW Canada Equity Grant Program

UFCW Canada is proud to introduce the ground-breaking Equity Grant Program.

The new program builds on UFCW Canada’s longstanding mandate to support the work of both UFCW members and the communities they serve.

The Equity Grant Program aims to support newcomer programs, human rights initiatives, and community action projects.

Annually, the new Equity Grant Program will consist of a total of three grants – worth $1,000 each – made available to UFCW Canada members and allies between January 1, 2021 and May 1, 2021.

Prospective applicants will have the ability to apply under one of three different streams. These include Newcomer/Immigration Stream; Human Rights Stream and the Community Action Stream.

Applicants are encouraged to supply a 250-word short description or a short video on what they will do if they are named a winner of the Equity Grant Program.
