webCampus Spotlight: Thierry Villeneuve

Quebec – March 3, 2013 – In March 2012, I took the webCampus WHMIS course, which allowed me to familiarize myself with the best – and safest way – to identify and work with hazardous substances in the workplace.

This course was very relevant to my current job and any jobs I might have in the future. It was well structured and focused on the right amount of content, so I really enjoyed my webCampus experience.

There are many benefits about online training, which makes the UFCW Canada webCampus very appealing. The ability to take the course when desired comes in very handy, especially if you are a busy person. Despite being a full-time student and a part-time worker at the same time, I was able to pass the course. Online training also gives you another advantage in that you can go back to a previous section, which isn’t as easy with in-class learning. If you’re having particular trouble understanding the material, you go back and try again.

Due to these advantages, webCampus courses are accessible to all. Course subjects are diverse and relevant to work.

webCampus is a tool that I recommend to all UFCW Canada members.
