Montreal – May 13, 2013 – UFCW Canada Local 1991P is very proud to welcome a new group of members from one of Quebec’s leading hardware store chains, called Patrick Morin Inc., who recently chose to join the union and Quebec’s leading voice for workers, UFCW Canada.
The new Patrick Morin members work at the hardware supplier’s main distribution centre in Saint-Paul-de-Joliette, located about 60 kilometres north of Montreal.
“We are very happy and proud to welcome among us the employees at Centre de distribution Patrick Morin inc. as, for the first time in their history, they’ve decided to join the union,” says Local 1991P President Mario Maisonneuve. “By choosing to combine their efforts with our great international organization, these men and women have given themselves more strength and a stronger voice to negotiate with their employer.”
The United Food and Commercial Workers Union is a leader with its expertise in the retail industry and in the area of food retail.
