New webCampus course for October – Together Fairness Works!

Toronto – September 28, 2013 – In a recent poll, Canadians were asked “What makes Canada a great place to live?” By far, the top response was “It’s a feeling.”

It’s a feeling that you are in a huge, free country that owns most of the freshwater in the world, rich in natural resources such as oil and electric power, with great medicare (paid through our taxes) and family programs, excellent schools and welfare for the needy or sick. Plus, Canada is a beautiful, modern country populated with hard-working people fully committed to their families and communities.

One trait that Canadians feel and view as a defining Canadian value is fairness.

Canadians understand fairness. Unions are about fairness – working people together with the support of unions have won decent wages, safer workplaces, fair treatment and other important benefits that keep us healthy and productive.

webCampus’s newest course is dedicated to investigating and discussing fairness in today’s Canadian society.

The course, called Together Fairness Works, will be available to all UFCW Canada members and families starting September 27, 2013. (The Together Fairness Works course is currently available in English only.)
