UFCW 175 members achieve new contract at ADM

UFCW 175 members achieve new contract at ADMMississauga, Ont. – March 9, 2014 – The 70-member UFCW Canada Local 175 bargaining unit at ADM Milling in Port Colborne, Ontario have ratified a new four-year collective agreement.

Wages increase by 2.5% in the first year, retroactive to December 1, 2013, 2.5% in the second year and 2% in both the third and fourth year of the contract term. In addition, workers classified as Maintenance receive an adjustment of $1 per hour effective December 1, 2013 – prior to applying the wage increases.

Workers benefit from an improved safety shoe allowance of $450 and language regarding bereavement now includes daughter- and son-in-laws under ‘immediate family.’ Additional language improvements address vacation scheduling and safety in the workplace.
