An alarming number of workers in Canada say they are stressed and burned out.
Brampton, Ont. – July 18, 2014 – Members of Canada’s leading union for retail workers have ratified their first collective agreement at the Sirens retail store in Brampton. On July 11, Local 175 members at the first unionized Sirens store in Canada voted unanimously in favour of the contract.
Toronto – July 17, 2014 – Canada’s most progressive union kicked off the 2014 Caribana season with the UFCW Canada Summer Splash on July 12. More than 250 members, friends, family, activists, and supporters joined together for an evening of music, dancing, and fundraising, including activists from UFCW Canada and UFCW Canada Local Unions 175 & 633, 206, 1000A, and 12R24.
