There are few Canadians whose lives have not been touched, in some way, by the devastating effects of substance abuse. Fewer still are unaware of the repercussions of the problem, in the workplace, and society in general (see “Facts on File”, in "More Details").
A Better World for All - Today, July 13, members of the UFCW Canadian Council executive will make history for our union when they meet in Calgary to, among other things, consider the formal establishment of the UFCW Canada Humanitarian Fund.

The deep, gut-wrenching horror, the awful awareness of our vulnerability, and the realization that we, as a western society, have enemies who would resort to such brutality, have left indelible marks.
