Michoacán, Mexico – July 2, 2015 – UFCW Canada activists recently visited the migrant community of Tarimbaro, Michoacán, sharing information about the human and labour rights of Mexican migrant workers in Canada.
Toronto – May 8, 2015 – Sonia Aurora Can Pop, age 9, is a recipient of the 2014 UFCW Canada Migrant Workers Scholarship. Sonia was nominated by her father Alejandro Can Caz, who since 2010 has worked in Quebec as a migrant agriculture worker through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
Toronto – March 31, 2015 – UFCW Canada activists recently gathered at the Citizenship and Immigration Canada headquarters in Toronto to protest the Harper Conservatives' plan to deport migrant workers who have worked in Canada for at least four years as part of the federal government's Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP).
