Boisbriand, Que. – October 20, 2015 – UFCW Canada Local 500 workers at Kamloops Foods in Boisbriand, Quebec have ratified their first collective agreement.
The new three-year contract achieves many gains for workers at Kamloops Foods including:

- 2% wage increase for workers at the top end of the pay scale for each year of the agreement;
- New language to include wage rates for different job categories;
- Overtime pay for all hours worked beyond the normal work day.
Under the new collective agreement, members will also benefit from the UFCW Quebec’s Dental Plan, to which the employer will make contribution during the life of the contract. The employer will also match members’ contributions to the Quebec Federation of Labour's Solidarity Fund up to $572 over the term of the agreement.
"We are very happy with this first collective agreement," says UFCW Local 500 President Antonio Filato. "It will have positive results for both the members and the employer. Congratulations to everyone on the negotiating team for a job well done."
