Poultry processing workers at Prairie Pride achieve new contract – UFCW 1400

Saskatoon, Sask. – June 26, 2025 – UFCW Local 1400 members at the Prairie Pride Natural Foods poultry production facility in Saskatoon have recently ratified a new collective agreement bringing wage and language improvements.
Key highlights of the agreement include a substantial initial wage increase of approximately 4.5% upon ratification, followed by annual wage increases of 2.75%, 3%, 3%, and 3.25% over the term of the contract.
In addition to wage increases, the new agreement boosts both night shift and Sunday premiums, adds an extra sick day per year, and enhances meal and footwear allowances to better support members on the job.
Prairie Pride is a poultry processing facility that produces fresh and frozen chicken products for markets across Western Canada, employing more than 200 dedicated UFCW Local 1400 members.
