UFCW 832 members at Red River Co-op – Lorette ratify new agreement
Lorette, Man. – July 17, 2025 – UFCW Local 832 members working at the Red River Co-op in Lorette, Manitoba have achieved a new one-year collective agreement that brings wage increases and more.
The new shorter-term deal means that UFCW 832 members working at the Lorette location will be back at the bargaining table after the larger Red River Co-op urban agreement, which is currently being negotiated, ratifies.
Highlights of the new collective bargaining agreement include the addition of Orange Shirt Day (The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation) to the list of recognized general holidays, marking a meaningful step toward honouring Indigenous history and reconciliation.
The agreement also provides for wage increases, including a 20¢ raise to the wage scales and a 50¢ increase for top rates and overscaled positions. Additionally, members will receive retroactive pay dating back to May 20, 2025.
Finally, new language in the agreement guarantees that top rate increases will be adjusted if the Red River Co-op urban agreement results in a higher wage increase.
