BDM Scholarship winner builds future in education

Saint-Jérôme, Que. – August 18, 2025 – UFCW 500 member and IGA cashier Rosalie Fecteau is a BDM scholarship recipient: she plans on using her scholarship for her first year of study at Université du Québec en Outaouais towards an education degree in preschool education and primary teaching.

"This scholarship will help me pay for the fees related to my university education. I receive this scholarship as a precious support in my academic path in teaching,” says Fecteau. “A big thank you for your trust and support that encourage me to pursuit my professional goals."

The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their relatives every year, totaling more than $300,000 in support. Application deadline for 2025 is September 30.
