Food manufacturing members at Frulact achieve new contract – UFCW 1006A
Kingston, Ont. – March 16, 2026 – UFCW 1006A members working at Frulact have ratified a new union contract.
The term of the contract is from February 26, 2026 to February 25, 2028 and covers 74 members.
"Overall, the contract was pretty decent and the majority of members liked the agreement," said Michelle Wilson, a member of the negotiating committee.
"UFCW 1006A representation empowers members with the protection and bargaining strength they need to advocate for improvements to their livelihoods and working conditions," said President Wayne Hanley. "I want to thank our negotiating committee for their hard work and congratulate our members at Frulact on their new union contract.
Located in Kingston, the company processes fruits for dairy-based products, including yogurts, ice cream, smoothies and baking products.
