Celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day – June 21
Toronto – June 14, 2021 – Canadians are called to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, culture and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples on National Indigenous Peoples Day – June 21.


Toronto – June 9, 2021 – Approximately 75 Indigenous members, leaders, and allies gathered online to take part in UFCW Canada’s Fifth Annual National Indigenous Rights Conference.
Toronto – August 31, 2020 – Activists from UFCW Canada’s Indigenous Sub-Committee recently gathered in fellowship and friendship through a virtual meeting with Traditional Indigenous Elder Dr. Duke Redbird, as part of the Myseum of Toronto’s “Ask an Elder” series.
On December 1994, the United Nations General Assembly declared August 9 as the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples.
Toronto – June 22, 2020 – This time last year, UFCW Canada Indigenous members from across the country came together to participate in the National Indigenous Peoples Day Conference in Toronto.
