UFCW Canada Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month in Ontario
Toronto – April 10, 2014 – On December 3, 2009, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario declared April as "Hispanic Heritage Month." The Month recognizes the many contributions that Spanish-speaking immigrants from Hispanic countries have made and continue to make to Canadian society.


Toronto – March 19, 2014 – The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is celebrated annually on March 21 to commemorate the victims of the 1960 Sharpeville massacre in South Africa and to denounce racism globally.
Toronto – January 30, 2014 – On January 31, thousands of Canadians across the country will celebrate the Lunar New Year – the Year of the Horse – by spending time with friends and family in numerous fun-filled activities to mark year 4712 on the lunar calendar.

Toronto – August 6, 2013 – UFCW Canada activists, friends and supporters once again joined more than a million spectators, masqueraders, and community members for this year’s Toronto Caribbean Carnival Parade, also known as Caribana, held on Saturday, August 3.
