Canada’s leading union Stands Up for Fairness at CLC political action conference
Toronto – March 25, 2013 – Canada’s leading union, UFCW Canada, joined over 1,000 allies and activists from the labour and social justice movement to fully participate in the first-ever CLC political action conference.


Ottawa – March 21 – The federal budget tabled today by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty illustrates that the Harper Conservatives are bereft of new ideas as they continue to force austerity on Canadians.
Vancouver – March 11, 2013 – The most recent scandal to besiege BC Premier Christy Clark and her Liberal government reveals how desperate they are to cling to power as they spiral toward defeat in the upcoming provincial election on May 14. The latest scandal by the BC Liberals also shows how morally and ethically bankrupt they are as a government and a political party.

Toronto – February 26, 2013 – The event was called "Girl Power", but the audience was almost equally comprised of men and women students at the recent gathering held at Toronto's Ryerson University. The seminar, sponsored by UFCW Canada Local 1000A, was organized by B-2026. This group of Ryerson students — including Kanisha Clark who is also a Local 1000A member at No Frills — wants to advance the goal that by 2026, 30% of Canada's political posts will be filled by women.
