Toronto – April 24, 2019 – Each year on April 28, union members and their allies from across the country gather, light candles, and wear ribbons to pay their respects and remember the thousands of women and men who have been killed or injured, or have suffered illnesses as a result of work-related incidents.
Havelock, Ont. – April 23, 2019 – UFCW Local 175 members working at Foodland in Havelock, Ontario have achieved a new union contract that provides wage increases, better benefits, and improved bereavement language.
Leamington, Ont. – April 22, 2019 – UFCW Canada recently joined over forty migrant workers to meet with federal government officials and discuss the need for open work permits for vulnerable migrant workers who have suffered physical, sexual, psychological, or financial abuse from their employers while working in Canada.
