UFCW Canada members believe in education, and we believe in them.

Education is empowerment and UFCW Canada delivers it through the best in personal training, workshops, printed and digital resources, and the world’s most advanced online learning facility— available free of charge to member and their family members.

UFCW Canada’s National Training and Education Department (NTED) is committed to providing UFCW Canada Local unions, and their member’s up-to-date, relevant information that makes a real difference on the job, and at home.

The NTED has well trained facilitators, and train-the-trainers who develop and deliver hands-on educational programs and make them available to Local unions and members across Canada.  From workshops on Health and Safety, to labour law, to bargaining, to steward training, to managing a household budget, to ESL, to finishing high school,  or to building a computer —  UFCW Canada NTED programs and resources are continually upgraded to reflect what’s current.

In addition to personally delivered education and training, UFCW Canada also offers distance learning opportunities through webCampus—   the state-of-the-art online learning experience that gives UFCW Canada members and their families the Freedom to Learn- Absolutely Free from over 100 courses.
