Health care members at Northmount Pharmacy increase wages, improve health and safety with new contract – UFCW 1518
Vancouver – January 5, 2022 – UFCW 1518 members at Northmount Pharmacy in North Vancouver, B.C. recently agreed on a new collective agreement that provides across-the-board wage increases, added leave provisions, and improved health and safety language.
The new contract will allow members to access additional leave provisions to prevent burnout and improve working conditions with noise controls, in addition to providing a $750 signing bonus. The improved health and safety language comes as pharmacies continue to play a critical role in the country’s COVID-19 testing and vaccination efforts.
