Manufacturing members at Mobilier MEQ ratify new contract – UFCW 501
La Durantaye, Que. – March 11, 2022 – UFCW 501 members at Mobilier MEQ recently ratified a new collective agreement that increases wages, vacation days, and shift premiums, among other improvements.
“The ratification of this new contract demonstrates the importance of collective bargaining,” says UFCW 501 Eastern Quebec Director Daniel Nadeau. “Together we were able to maintain past achievements while improving existing working conditions.”
The new contract sees wages increase by 8 percent retroactive to December 6, 2021, 4 percent in November 2022, and 5 percent in November 2023. The new contract also includes an additional vacation day, two float days, and increases to the evening shift and team lead premiums. Members will also be included in the union’s dental plan as of January 1, 2023.
