Uber driver reactivated after persistent representation settles verification dispute
Toronto – October 25, 2022 – Uber drivers are growing more vocal about the strong and persistent representation they receive from UFCW Canada when disputes between themselves and the platform provider led to deactivation.
“After being deactivated in March 2022 surrounding a dispute with my real time verification picture, I felt uneasy about losing my income and a friend suggested I reach out to UFCW Canada,” says Uber driver Mubin Master. “After seven long months I was finally reactivated thanks to the persistent support of UFCW Canada representatives who were there for me when I needed them most.”
In the wake of UFCW Canada’s historic agreement with Uber Canada, reached earlier this year, drivers can now access representation services from UFCW Canada to assist with account deactivations, licensing issues, background checks, and other matters.
