Childcare should cost $10 a day, boards urge
Surrey, BC - February 5, 2013 - Two boards of trade in B.C.'s Lower Mainland are joining forces topressurethe provincialand federal governments to subsidize daycare costs forfamilies, changing the system so parents pay no more than $10 a day forfull-time care.
The boards maintain the incentives are needed in order to help youngfamilies achieve a better work-life balance through features includinglonger parental leaves and alternative work arrangements that make iteasierfor parents to care for young children.
