Together, UFCW Canada in partnership with the  First Nations Children and Family Caring Society (FNCFCS)  have created a unique set of five posters that are now available to mark National Aboriginal Day, June 21.

The five posters are based on the theme of Reconciliation, and are meant to raise awareness of the some of the most pressing issues facing many First Nations, Inuit and Métis families and their children across Canada.

"We are grateful to be partnered with FNCFS  in this vital national public awareness campaign," says Naveen Mehta, the UFCW Canada director of Human Rights, Equity and Diversity. "The message in the posters is about equality of access to quality education, good nutrition, and community social and healthcare services, so that First Nations children can have the same opportunities to succeed as other children in Canada.

The National Aboriginal posters are available for download and are ideal for printing and forwarding to others.

Proclaimed in 1996, National Aboriginal Day is annually commemorated on June 21 to recognize and celebrate the cultures and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples of Canada.
