Workers at ATCO Structures & Logistics join the union – UFCW 1400

Leroy, Sask. – January 5, 2016 – Workers at the ATCO Structures & Logistics housing lodge at the Jansen Mine in Leroy, Saskatchewan – located roughly 100 kilometres north of Regina – are the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 1400 after voting to join the union last month.

The new Local 1400 members work in the maintenance and food departments at the housing lodge, which features a 1,200-person dining room, lounge, medical centre, and laundry service.

The ATCO Structures & Logistics members add their strength to more than 250,000 workers who have chosen UFCW Canada as their voice in the workplace.  

UFCW Canada Local 1400 plans to commence bargaining with the employer very shortly.
