Members at Les crèmes glacées Lebel achieve first contract – UFCW 501

Lachute, Que. – February 29, 2016 – UFCW Canada Local 501 members working at Les crèmes glacées Lebel in Lachute, Quebec have ratified a first collective agreement.

The unit was certified in December 2014. The agreement was signed on February 8, 2016 and runs until 2019. Highlights of the first agreement include: 

• The obligation to post available positions and to respect seniority in allocating positions;

• The allocation of working hours based on seniority;

• Annual salary increases that are competitive with the market;

• Retroactive salary increases of 4%;

• Shorter period for entitlement to a fourth week of vacation.
