Estevan, Sask. – July 2, 2016 – UFCW Canada Local 1400 members working at Clifton's No Frills in Estevan have ratified a new collective agreement that brings wage increases, language changes, improved benefits, and more.
The new five-year contract features wage increases of $0.25 to $0.30 in each year as well as a lump sum payment in the second year. The contract also adds language to allow for greater access to union representatives to meet with member, as well as an updated anti-discrimination clause that includes a prohibition on discrimination due to union activity.

"We are very pleased with the outcome of these negotiations as the members have said 'Yes' to a strong union contract," says UFCW Canada Local 1400 President Norm Neault.
