UFCW 12R24 member wins iPad through BDM Scholarship Contest

Mississauga, Ont. – November 22, 2019 – Congratulations to UFCW Canada Local 12R24 member Amanda Ead, one of two winners of an Apple iPad for referring other union members to apply for the UFCW Canada - BDM Scholarship.

To create more awareness of this renowned union scholarship, UFCW Canada holds an annual referral contest that attracts hundreds of additional scholarship applications. As part of the contest, every member who refers an eligible student to apply for a UFCW Canada - BDM Scholarship receives a chance to win a brand-new Apple iPad.

Sister Ead, who works at The Beer Store in Mississauga, Ontario, encouraged many members to apply for the 2019 scholarship.
