Keep Calm – Managing Your Anger (On-The-Go): This course teaches you ways to manage your anger and respond to situations without getting angry. In 15 minutes or less, gain insights into anger that can help reduce negative feelings.
Career Crossroads (On-The-Go): Whether it is a self-imposed change or life circumstances, take 15 minutes to explore options that can support you and your employment goals.
Media Smarts (On-The-Go): The constantly changing media landscape means you need to be critical and mindful of what you consume. In 15 minutes or less, discover questions to ask and things to be aware of when it comes to the Internet and the media’s effects on us.
Shelf Management – Part 1: If you owned a store, what would you sell and how would you sell it? This course explains shelf management and the factors that can influence decisions within a retail system, such as inventory, ordering, stocking, profit, holding power, and variety. It also explores how UPC symbols are used to monitor sales and price integrity.
Shelf Management – Part 2: Shelf Management Part Two builds on the lessons of Part One by exploring perpetual vs. paper inventory and computer assisted ordering. This is a great course to take if you are thinking about opening a store or working in the retail sector.
Health & Safety Level 2 - Committees Part 2: This course brings an increased awareness to researching hazards and investigating, collecting information, interpreting, and reporting information. By the end of this course, you will be able to prioritize hazards, utilize sources of information, and have the skills required to play an active role on your workplace health and safety committee.
Ergonomics for Retail Workers: Recently, one out of every 10 Canadian adults had a repetitive strain injury (RSI) serious enough to limit their normal activities. This course reviews RSIs, the importance of ergonomics, how to identify problems in the workplace, the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries, and the implementation of solutions and controls.
