UFCW 12R24 and The Beer Store fundraising efforts in support of LLSC's life-saving work caps historic milestone
Toronto – August 10, 2021 – UFCW 12R24 and The Beer Store have reached a major milestone in their efforts to help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) find a cure to blood cancers.
Fundraising efforts between UFCW 12R24 and The Beer Store has now reached the coveted 20/20 mark – $20 million over the past 20 years.
“20 years ago, 80 percent of children with leukemia or lymphoma would not survive but with the investment in the development of better treatments and therapies – today over 80 percent survive,” says UFCW 12R24 President John Nock. “Sisters, brothers, friends – congratulations and thank you for your fundraising efforts in this vital campaign to support the life-saving work of the LLSC.”
