UFCW Canada celebrates National Food Service Workers Day – September 25

Toronto – September 21, 2022 – The food service industry employs over 1.2 million workers across the country and represents tens of thousands of members across UFCW Canada local unions.

On this National Food Service Workers Day be sure to thank the good people working at leading food service companies such as: Aramark, Compass Group Canada, Gate Gourmet, Sodexo Canada, OTG, and Canada Catering – at locations ranging from universities to health care facilities to international airports, and more.

Commercial sales of food services have risen steadily over the last decade and, according to Statista, Canadian food services are expected to generate sales of $78.7 billion this year alone.

These frontline heroes have continued to show up for Canadians in weathering a difficult pandemic and continuing to grow the Canadian economy with their dedication and commitment to service.
