Hospitality members at the Delta St. John’s build a better life – UFCW 1252
St. John’s, N.L. – June 5, 2024 – UFCW Canada Local 1252 members working at the Delta Hotel in St. John’s, Newfoundland have achieved a new collective agreement bringing improvements to wages, and more.
The new three-year deal includes wage increases totaling nine percent over the contract's duration.
The union committee, consisting of Gary Tracey, Alicia Dunn, David Oakley and Gerry Murphy addressed the main concerns facing members working at the Delta Hotel.
“I am immensely proud of the new deal we’ve achieved,” says UFCW 1252 President Bev Burke. “It not only builds upon an already exemplary contract, but also secures fair wages and signifies our commitment to improving working conditions and advocating for all members.”
