Security guards join the union – UFCW 1006A
Toronto – July 11, 2024 – Security guards from ASP company have joined UFCW 1006A.
“Union representation provides workers with the collective power to improve their wages, benefits and working conditions,” said UFCW 1006A President Wayne Hanley. “I’m proud to congratulate the workers from ASP on becoming unionized.”
The bargaining unit consists of seven members, who work as security guards.
“I’m proud and inspired by our members’ determination and solidarity in achieving their goal of union representation,” said Lesley Prince, Director of Organizing for UFCW 1006A.
UFCW 1006A represents 8,000 workers in the security guard sector.
