Social service workers at Wings of Power build better life – UFCW 832
Pine Falls, Man. – November 1, 2024 – UFCW 832 members at Wings of Power Family and Community Resource Centre in Pine Falls have voted to ratify their new contract.
The members voted in favour of a 3.4 year deal, as the union and employer entered into early negotiations in order to secure the RRSP-matching addition.
“This is a tight-knit group that is committed to each other and supporting their community,” says Phil Kraychuk, UFCW 832 union negotiator. “They deserve this deal and are excited to see some big wins.”
Highlights from the new CBA include RRSP matching from the employer, increases to meal allowances and long-service premiums, wage increases and more.
Wings of Power is a grassroots community and family-based resource centre with a parent-child focus.
